Knowledge about SSL certificates for business.

Friday, July 31st, 2009

SSL Certificates were created to validate the genuineness of a web site because it is so easy to counterfeit a business on the web. In 1995, when they were invented, a standard SSL certificates provided adequate protection for consumers. SSL certs secure your website and protect transactional data. Need a secure logon for your site or online store? SSL certificates must be signed by a trusted authority or more commonly known as Certificate Authorities (CA). CA’s confirm your identity by adding their signature to your SSL certs.SSL Certificates bind an identity to a pair of electronic keys that are used to encrypt and decipher digital information. A public key encrypts the information, whereas a private key decrypts the information.

Security remains a moving target, however, as researchers have also started to find weaknesses in SHA1. Although there are no attacks as advanced as those against MD5, it is likely that SHA1 will also be increasingly threatened by collision attacks as research in this area continues. Secure Sockets Layer, SSL, is the standard security technology for creating an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between our web server and your browser remains private and secure. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology protects your Web site and makes it easy for customers to trust you. SSL creates an encrypted link between a web server and a web browser to ensure that all data transmitted remains private and secure.

Certs can be reissued as needed in development situations. Certificates may need to be reissued when upgrading or changing server software or operating platform; if migrating your site from one server to another, or if an existing private key has been lost, destroyed or otherwise inadvertently overwritten. After re-validating certificate information online, the new cert is issued immediately and is valid from the date of reissue until the original expiration date. Certs are issued by certificate authorities (CAs), which are either trusted because they are a top-level, or root, authority or because they have been granted the ability to issue certificates by a root CA. All Web browsers maintain a list of trusted root certificate authorities as a way to verify certs issued by those CAs.

Web servers have been built to support it and web browsers have been built to use it. SSL provides the ability to secure customers transactions transparently without the customer having to do a thing! Web server certificates (also known as secure server certificates or SSL certs) are required to initialize an SSL session.

Diamonds are Judged for Cut Gemstones are for Color

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Gemstones are first judged by their color while diamonds are judged more for their cut and clarity. This is even more true for emerald, ruby, and sapphire because they are rarely cut with modern meet-point faceting. This technique uses diagrams where the facets meet at a point and produce the best light return for a particular species of gemstone based on the refractive index.  Most of the big three colored stones are cut with weight retention in mind rather than optimal light return. It is also rare to find commercial cut stones with a polish that is better than 14000 diamond grit. Most custom cut stones will be polished to a minimum of 50000 diamond grit. Newer aluminum or cerium oxides used by custom faceters come closer to a 100000 grit polish.

One mistake that gemstone buyers make when looking at well cut stones is to be dazzled by the brilliance while forsaking the color. Don’t forget the color! Color is the number one criterion for judging colored gemstones. Our eyes naturally gravitate to the sparkling gemstone on the counter but brilliance will make light colored stones appear better than they are. Turn the stone on its back or look at it from another angle to get a better gauge of the actual body color of the gemstone before the cut affects your opionion. Clarity and brilliance is important but should not outweigh color. Color is always the largest percent of cost in any gemstone. Once you’ve found a few gemstones with the best color then go and evaluate them for clarity, cut, and “fire”. You don’t need to give up brilliance or clarity but it should not be the first thing to look for.

Dont forget the car

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Going on holiday is always an exciting time and a a nice relief from the pressures of everyday life, I mean where would you rather be by the pool drinking sangria and topping up your tan or working flat out in the office. So when you finally book that well earned holiday, amidst the thrill and exhilaration of making sure you’ve got enough t-shirts and shorts etc, take a moment to ponder about what you’re going to do with your car. One option is to park at the airport but unless you like throwing money away I wouldn’t suggest you do.

However don’t let this dampen your spirits because there are some alternatives for instance there are many of secure airport parking sites at every major airport. For car parking Heathrow airport, Car parking Manchester airport and Gatwick airport car parking there is an excellent selection of off airport car parks just a short journey to the terminal, where you park your car then are taken to the terminal by mini-bus. Then when you arrive back at the airport there will be a mini-bus waiting to transfer you back to the car park, if requested your car can be cleaned and valeted while you’re on holiday. Meaning you don’t have to panic about airport parking when you arrive at the airport.

A different option is to stay in an airport hotel with parking. Get into holiday mode early with astay in an airport hotel. Most airport hotels are located on or extremely close to the airport so you can walk to the terminal, rest assured that your vehicle is safe and secure. So the next holiday you go on make sure you take all these options into account to make sure you have a fantastic holiday. Remember the best holidays are the best planned ones. I hope you find this information helpful and beneficial.

Tell me about the Akita Dog

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Before deciding to bring home that cute Akita puppy, you should know a little about the breed. The Akita is a proud member of the working group. This dog has a bold, independent personality, and is highly devoted to its family. Rated as one of the best watchdogs a man can own, the Akita will protect its family members at all costs, which makes it highly reserved around strangers and other animals.

A Brief History Of The Akita

The Akita dog breed has its origins from Japan. In fact, the breed’s roots can be found on ancient Japanese tombs, which show us that today’s Akita is the result of concerted efforts of the 19th century to recreate seven of Japan’s native breeds. The dogs used for these breeding efforts were mostly fighting breeds, some purebred and some mixed.

In time, Japanese breeders worked hard to separate many of the traits from these fighting dogs out of the Akita, specifically the pinto pattern, black mask, and the dog’s incredible size. However, American breeders were enthusiastic about these traits and actually encouraged them. To preserve the original Akita, the Akita-inu Hozankai Society of Japan was formed in 1918. Just over a decade later, in 1931, the Akita was declared an official monument in Japan.

The most recognized story of the Akita breed us about a dog named Hachiko. Hachiko had met his owner each and every day at the train station after work. When the owner died at work one afternoon, Hachiko waited for him to return, at that very spot, until the dog died – 9 years later!

The first Akita dog made its way to the United States in 1937. The famous Helen Keller was the woman who brought this Akita to America when she returned from Japan that year. When World War II was over, many Akita dogs also came back to the U.S. with members of the armed forces when returning home from battle. The AKC officially recognized the breed in 1972.

Upkeep Requirements For The Akita

The Akita dog enjoys living with owners that have an active lifestyle. They need mental and physical exercise on a daily basis, preferably having the chance to run long distances in a safe area or a moderate jog on the leash. So long as they have ample amounts of exercise, Akita dogs remain well-mannered when indoors.

These dogs have an unusual tolerance for cold weather and can live outdoors in colder climates (they do not fare well in hot temperatures). But like all house pets, they are most happy when sleeping inside with the family at night. Grooming requirements call for a thorough brushing about once per week to remove dead hair, especially during shedding season.

Health Concerns

Akita dogs have an average life span of ten to twelve years. The two major health problems that run common in the breed are PRA and CHD. Minor health concerns include gastric torsion, elbow dysplasia, sebaceous adenitis, hypothyroidism, lymphosarcoma, osteosarcoma, pemphigus, and cruciate ligament rupture. Veterinarians suggest that Akita dogs get tested for potential eye, hip, elbow, and thyroid problems.

Free games online

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Games were always popular on the internet and now more and more games are online and free for the people to use. Most of these free gaming sites are very popular and new are coming up all the time. So the question arises. Why a webmaster will build such a site. As always the answer is simple. Money. Because these websites become quite popular very fast especially with some kind of advertising promotion their repeating visitors user base is growing fast. The result is thousands and thousands of hits every time and this easily converts to clicks and money for the webmaster.

On the other side building such a website is not very easy except if you buy a commercial package with thousands of free games. But doing this you are competing with a thousand other websites that are using this software as well. This is not good in the eyes of the search engine bots because of duplicate content and other issues.

Talking about return of investment for such websites to my knowledge is very low or in some cases very late. With all this competitions this kind of websites cannot depend on search engine traffic and must rely on paid advertisement. Until the user base will grow large enough the return of investment is poor. An example of such a website you can find to the following link. Free games online.

By taking a look in his alexa stats we can easily see that this site is new and search engines just started to index it.

Let’s wish it good luck!

How Green are Promotional Balloons?

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Introduction

There are people who have some anxiety about the impact of promotional balloons on the environment and safety issues of printed promotional items and around the effects of working with latex. However fear is often a derivative of ignorance so becoming knowledgeable enables people to make informed choices. Where there is understanding and information, the mind does not need to fill in the empty spaces with fearful conjecture and catastrophising.

The idea of balloon safety is not really about balloons so much as the materials from which they are made. The bulk of balloons are made from latex or natural rubber which is actually a very environmentally friendly product and has been around for decades. More recently foil balloons have been produced that are made from thin non-stretch fabric which is basically metalized plastic film which does not bio-degrade like latex. This type of balloon is invariably filled with helium so that it rises up and is secured with a ribbon so that it doesn’t float away.

So what is Latex?

Balloons have been around for many years and the latex from which modern balloons are made come from the Hevea Brasiliensis tree or as many people know it, the rubber tree. These trees which grow in tropical climes, such as South East Asia, do not need to be cut down to obtain the rubber. The mature trees are tapped regularly by making a Y cut in the bark and placing a small container at the bottom of the Y to collect the milky sap which oozes from the tree. This is the basic latex from which so many different|variable|diverse} goods are made. Latex is a highly sustainable product providing work and income for people in some of the poorest countries in the world.

The management and maintenance of the rubber plantations means there is no deforestation, which helps in the issue of global warming. The trees use carbon dioxide and release oxygen back into the atmosphere, which is the opposite process to industrial pollution which contributes to the substantial increase in greenhouse gases. So as a basic resource it is an environmentally friendly, regenerating product.

Uses of Natural Rubber latex (NRL)

Natural Rubber latex (NRL) is used in thousands of everyday items we take for granted in our modern lifestyle. A balloon is just one of many commercial products we recognise as obviously being made from rubber. Some of the more essential items made from NRL are car, lorry, plane and bus tyres which carry us and the essential consumer products we use daily, around the world. vital items such as underwear elastic and elastic used in fashion day wear, shoe soles, carpets, rubber bands and erasers have been in use for many decades. More recent consumer necessities come in the form of buttons in calculators and remote controls.

Balloon Publicity

Balloons races or balloon releases are a way of generating publicity at major fund raising events. A message or company logo is printed onto the balloons and then released into the sky in large numbers. This is a dramatic sight when thousands of helium filled balloons of different colours rise up into the atmosphere all together.

Seeing thousands of balloons filled with balloon gas released on mass is an exciting and spectacular sight.

Rubber balloons inflated with Helium normally only stay afloat for a few hours days if they are not punctured by birds, trees or other sharp objects that they might encounter. To retain the buoyancy and increase the float time of a gas filled balloon the inside can be coated with a special polymer solution which reduces leakage.

Safety and Environmental Concerns

The concerns over the years from the general public have been about the effect of large numbers of balloons being released into the atmosphere. Naturally some people believe that massed balloons may be harmful to wild, farm and domestic animals and that on landing they may pose a serious hazard through ingestion or entanglement.

However all latex balloons are completely natural coming from the Hevea tree and they break down at about the same rate as oak leaves. Oxidation starts to occur within an hour of a balloon being inflated and during the process of decay, by natural exposure, nutrients are released into the soil. The oxidation is sometimes visible as a cloudy appearance when balloons are exposed to outdoor conditions, direct sunlight and heat. However research shows that latex balloons under varying conditions take about 6 months to decompose so they are even suitable for composting.

Reputable balloon companies should only use bio-degradable latex these days. For example, all balloons produced by B-loony, the UK’s largest manufacturer of printed promotional balloons, are made from bio-degradable latex.

It is estimated that 90/95% of balloons released rise to an altitude of approximately 5 miles at which height the cold will cause the balloon to become brittle and shatter in to miniscule pieces. Balloon bits are unlikely to cause harm on landing, even if ingested, as the latex and the dyes used in latex colouring are non-toxic and completely bio-degradable.

Regulations on Balloon Releases

The UK’s Balloon Trade Association NABAS, is very aware of its responsibilities to the environment and has issued a Code of Conduct for balloon releases giving advice to ensure the protection of the environment. Only natural rubber latex may be used for balloon releases. Balloons must be hand tied and labels attached are required to be recycle-able paper. Plastic valves or wire should not be used.

Any Large balloon event of more than 5,000 balloons requires permission from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) which has to be applied for in writing at least 28 days before the event. The CAA like to be informed also for balloon releases of up to 5,000 balloons.

Printed Balloons

Recently I was looking for a balloon which had a 90 printed on it because my grandmother is ninety this week and we are giving her a big celebratory party. However there were no balloons in the store where I was looking, that had any number above 60. Maybe the suppliers of printed balloons don’t think people over 60 want to be reminded of their age. I did think it would be a good idea to have a balloon which could have the number you want attached once it is inflated. They do it with some birthday cards where you buy a separate number and stick it onto the card of your choice.

I would think printed balloons need to be ordered in large enough quantities to make it worthwhile in terms of cost.

There are a great number of possibilities for the use of helium and printed balloons. They can be used as a marketing tool to deliver a message about a company or event, or to highlight a product launch or marketing campaign. The logo or message is specially printed onto the balloons by the company supplying the service and they will also deliver the balloons to the customer. It is obviously more economical to order large quantities and for balloon releases or races this would not be an issue.

Health and Safety for People Working with Latex

People who work with Latex on a regular basis have to be concerned about the long term effects of exposure to the material. Natural rubber latex is a plant product and as such contains proteins to which some individuals may become allergic. The proteins naturally present in latex may cause allergies either through direct contact with skin or by inhalation of a powder. Latex gloves may be powdered with cornstarch which attach to NRL allergens causing them to be airborne and possibly inhaled when the gloves are used. Those most at risk are health care workers who use latex gloves on a daily basis and those undergoing multiple surgical procedures.

Some people experience irritation to the skin on contact with NRL but it is not a true allergy but rather an irritant contact dermatitis. Sensitised people however may get an allergic reaction when in direct contact with balloons. Other individuals who may have an allergic reaction are people who already suffer with atopic allergic diseases such as hay fever, asthma and some irritant skin conditions or a history of certain food allergies of banana, avocado, kiwi and chestnuts.

If you are prone to any of the above conditions then it is probably not wise to work in a company producing items made from NRL. However cornstarch is not used as a de-tack powder in the manufacture of toy balloons. Instead they are lightly coated with an inorganic filler such as calcium carbonate diatomaceous earth and clays which do not bind to latex proteins. Natural Rubber Latex is a very cost effective material that is widely used throughout the world and for the majority of individuals there is no form of clinical risk.

Another great low cost advertising give away are hand-held flags, or hand waivers as they are also known. These are very cost effective and will provide a colourful impact to your event. Because they are made of paper they are bio-degradable and can be made of recycled materials. It is easy to have messages printed on them and you can create your own scheme and effect.

Hand held flags are small rectangles of paper, which can be printed on one or both sides, and mounted on a plastic or biodegradable stick. These paper flags have become particularly popular over recent years because they are colourful, attractive, and can be purchased at unbelievably low prices. Paper flags are more often used today to advertise and promote fund raising projects, special occasions or sporting events. Small children particularly enjoy waving flags as part of the crowd during a special event.

What would we do without the brightly coloured hand wavers to show our support, when someone important passes through our district?

Obviously paper flags are a great way to get your promotional message across. They can be printed on one or both sides with the company logo and they can also be used as very economical promotional gifts.

Because paper flags are made from paper and the print area is flat and a set size, it is possible to choose almost any artwork you can think of to customise your event. The quality and finish of the flags is exceptionally high because they are digitally printed. The printing firm will probably have an impressive range of paper flags designs as samples because they usually hold back a few from each print run.

All samples will be from real events ranging from world promotions, product launches, sports teams events or fund raising campaigns and there will be no limit to the number that can be printed. Paper flags are a popular choice for other promotional events such as VIP visits, sales events and advertising. Many football fans carry paper flags with their club logos or colours to advertise their support for their favourite club whether it’s the Premier League, the World Championship, or a local cup final.

Foil Balloons

Foil balloons are very attractive with shiny reflective surfaces and can be printed with full colour pictures and patterns to a customer’s order. Foil balloons have the advantage of being lightweight, longer-lasting, with increased buoyancy. They are perfect for eye catching promotions, special celebrations and for product launches.

There are further environmental concerns about the safety of the foil balloon because they don’t biodegrade or shred like rubber balloons. However they are not allowed to be used in balloon releases or races, and need to be carefully disposed of after use. The most important characteristic of metalized nylon or foil balloons is its ability to keep the helium gas from escaping for several weeks.

Balloons for Work

Latex balloons are an environmentally friendly product. Not only do they provide entertainment and recreational use bringing pleasure to thousands of children, they are valuable in a work situation for research, medicine, promotion and education.

Balloons are often used for meteorological work and in more recent years they are used in some medical procedures for a variety of conditions such as angioplasty, catheters for weight loss, and sinus procedures. Also balloons are a widely used teaching device to demonstrate Newton’s third law of physics and the functioning of a rocket. Once the balloon is inflated, the mouth of the balloon is released and the greater pressure of air inside, forces its way out so that the elasticity of the balloon contracts and the balloon is propelled forward making a rude noise. This is fundamentally how a rocket works.

Without balloons valuable services could not be performed and the public would be the losers in the long run. Professional quality balloons are made from 100% biodegradable latex.

Conclusion

The concerns about balloon safety primarily arise from the materials of which they are made. Although Latex is a natural substance and has been used for many years without harm, people who work in the arena of manufacture are exposed to some degree of risk and employers will conduct thorough risk assessments . Latex balloons are considered very safe and environmentally friendly, but problems will arise when a balloon is inflated using a plastic valve or with a ribbon attached which are not biodegradable.

There are a number of industry bodies which control and monitor balloon activities on a large scale and health and safety regulations in place for those working in industries manufacturing or using latex. The advantages of having and using latex products, certainly outweighs any perceived dangers of such an environmentally safe material.

First Time to Invest – Find Out How Not To fail On The First Time

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

Every investor has had to go through the phase of first time investment. Even successful investors had to go through the tension-filled phase of first time investment. So, how does one get the best out of the inevitable first time to invest? This article will delve deeper into the subject of first time trading and how one can prepare himself/herself for the best possible outcome.

1. Determine the mode of investment: If it’s the first time to invest, the wisest thing to do is to choose a sure way of investment. One of the oldest ways is to invest in a savings account of a bank, which would give you good returns which is generally not much compared to other means of investment. There are other ways to ensure higher returns, but this could be actually risky for the first time investor. Hence, only after having complete knowledge of all the investment alternatives available, one must select the option that suits his/her needs the best.

2. Appropriate knowledge about the best investments option: Without proper knowledge, an investor cannot dream of making it big. If one is investing in a bank, he/she must have a clear idea about the rules and policies associated with the investments option, and must make plans according to it. If investing in the stock market or Forex, knowledge about the market becomes more important. One must be absolutely sure about the market basics, and how it functions before trading in the extremely volatile market.

3.Selecting the best broker or financial advisor: If you are investing in stock market, you need to search for a good broking firm that would provide with the best online trading experience at the lowest possible commission rate. There are some broking firms that have special orientation programs for people who are in the market for the first time to invest. One must consider these factors while choosing a broker. In case of other forms of investments, a consultation with a financial advisor is a wise thing to do. However, one must be careful to select a serious and loyal financial advisor, which would provide the proper guidance through the basic phase.

4.Being positive and committed about the investment: The fear of making losses ideally should not stops one from taking investment decisions. Some investors are over conservative and the fear of losing money creates a situation where they fail to act. Specially in stock market, in the most likely case, everyone is bound to experience loss in their initial trading days, but once the basics are grasped, the profits that follow make more than enough to cover the initial losses. Therefore, one should always be confident about their decisions, and the fear of losing money should not deter their confidence. Moreover, an investor should be able to give complete commitment of his energy and time along with money while making an investment. This is because of the simple fact that money cannot make money, unless it is being made to and it is only possible when we commit our full efforts into it.

After all it is possible to make money with first time investments

Super Aloe Vera Intestinal Cleanse Free Trial? Shocking Results …

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Old habits die hard and it took the intense pain of extreme stomach cramps for me to bite the bullet and finally get seen to. Sit tight because I’m going to spill my guts (excuse the pun!) and it could get a tiny bit gruesome in places! I trust you have a solid stomach…

Hey, my name is Frank and for a long time before I discovered this super colon cleanse I had been tolerating problems with weight gain, painful stomach, poor energy levels and focus and a whole array of other affections which have usually made me feel fairly rotten most of my waking hours. Everything was fine and dandy in my teenage years and then on my 20th birthday a family catastrophe turned my whole existence upside down.

I weeped just the same as the rest of the family but for some unkown reason I had more issues letting go than others. I lightened my burden by gorging on unhealthy foods and worse than that, the snacks which calmed me the most were the ones which were the most harmful. A whole heap of high starch and oily foods and then liberal quantities of chocolate and sweet aerated drinks. Mostly, really refined food.

I was thoroughly unaware that as the years rolled on my intestines were having a problem with this edible assault. But I had no inclination to heave my cranium out of the sand. I was gleefully oblivious in my own wee world hiding away from the real world with my chips! Then a couple of years ago I started getting these gruesome stomach gripes and enormous wind. It wasn’t amazingly amiable at all.

I knew that while I was devouring food like nobody’s business my bowels were all over the joint and on occasion I’d go 2-3 days without ejecting my bowels! Finally my symptoms got bad enough for me to go and see a medical person. He diagnosed me with persistent impacted feces and also told me that I was pretty overweight. He proposed profound corrections to my diet and a stringent course of exertion. This worked for me to a point but I had this nagging feeling I required something extra.

It was around this period in my life a mate of mine persuaded me to try one of the leading healthy colon cleanse available at the time and sure I was initially sceptical but my impression was in time to change. My pal convinced me to have a go and boy am I pleased I did! Over the course of five days the pile of dross which was expelled out of my gut was something to behold. I lost eight pounds in a week! And that’s not all, essentially all my negative symptoms were gone. Bowel cleansing positively did the business for little old me.

I have been a convert ever since. Wow! It’s wonderful. I now investigate all the dual colon cleanser and for me it was a simple matter of suck it and see and because I unearthed a no cost thirty day trial on the Internet of this fascinating product my risk is minimal. Since I had fantastic success I have predictably gone onwards and purchased further treatments. My stomach isn’t tied up in knots now, I enjoy untold energy and I feel like a new man! Heartily recommended.
